Role responsibilities

• As Structural Design Engineer you will be working as part of a team through all lifecycle stages in the design phase of the project.
• Interact with all project role players (including clients, professional teams, contractors) and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, records, reports, schedules, documentation, and filing.
• Timeously identify and report on risks and issues and proactively respond in addressing them.
• The position will be based in Johannesburg, but projects will be predominately from the Dubai Office in the Middle East.

Minimum requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Structural Design Engineer in buildings.
• Experience on projects in the Middle East will be advantageous
• Strong technical capability with reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast and post-tensioned structures.
• Ability to function well as part of a team.
• Software proficiency in MS Office, ETABS, StatiCa, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM Concept, IDEA StatiCa, Strand 7, REVIT, Rhino, and PROKON.
• Experience with coding and automation of processes and workflows to assist with daily tasks.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
