Responsibilities

• Design and analyse concrete and steel bridge structures in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
• Prepare and contribute to high-quality design documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Participate in all stages of the design process, from concept development through to detailed design and final delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide support to professional staff across multiple locations.
• Assist in supervising, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers and technical staff.
• Identify, develop, and recommend innovative and efficient design solutions for a variety of bridge and structural projects.
• Contribute to fast-paced design-and-construct projects, meeting programme, quality, and budget requirements.
• Provide engineering support during construction phases, including responding to site queries and design clarifications.
• Assist with bridge load rating assessments and evaluations.
• Take responsibility for planning and managing resources for small projects or defined components of larger projects.
• Analyse complex technical challenges and deliver practical, well-considered engineering solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and sections of broader project documentation.
• Apply Safety in Design principles in all tasks, with a strong understanding of risk, constructability, and commercial considerations.

Requirements:

• Proven Experience in bridge/structure design (5-10 years of bridge design experience, minimum 4 years bridge design experience in Gulf)
• Strong experience in analysis and design of concrete and steel bridges
• Experience in dynamic analysis
• Competent to supervise or review steel drafting and BIM production
• Software skills: proficient in both CSI bridge and/or MIDAS
• Strong communication skills, teamwork and self-motivation
• Full knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and American codes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil structural engineering or bridge engineering from an internationally recognized engineering university.
