Role responsibilities

  • Lead complex infrastructure systems designs which includes:
    • Utilities
    • Bulk earthworks
    • Roads
    • Industrial structures
  • Drive the delivery of 3D modelling as well as multidisciplinary structural and utility infrastructure coordination on projects.
  • Oversee the production of other key project deliverables such as technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation. 
  • Be responsible for line management which include tasks such as performance management, workload management, task delegation and team mentoring.
  • Support business development activities and assist in preparing and coordinating tenders/bids and contribute to winning work initiatives.
  • Establish a clear understanding of project goals and stakeholder expectations, specifically managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery meets expectations.

Experience required

  • A solid background in the technical delivery of major infrastructure projects. 
  • Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software. Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Autodesk Software. 
  • Working knowledge of BIM processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices. 
  • Strong work winning, client facing capability and experience.
  • Strong interdisciplinary work experience.

Minimum requirements

  • B Sc/B Eng. Degree or B Tech in Civil Engineering. 
  • Pr Eng or Pr Tech registered with ECSA with 5 years’ post-registration  
  • Minimum of 10 years overall design experience.
  • Strong design experience and demonstrated history of leading design teams. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit and/or Bentley or and associated discipline specific design software.
  • Experience of MS Office Suite of Programmes, SharePoint, ProjectWise, etc.
