We are seeking a Professional Electrical Engineer or Technologist with a strong background in Datacentre electrical design and consulting. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, work with leading clients in the sector, and grow within a dynamic and inclusive team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and lead electrical design and delivery for Datacentre projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, energy-efficient solutions.
  • Engage with clients to understand needs and deliver value-driven outcomes.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning.
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.


Minimum requirements

  • ECSA registered as a Professional Electrical Engineer or Technologist.
  • Minimum 5 years in electrical consulting, specifically within the Datacentre sector.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • MV and LV switchgear design and commissioning.
    • Network studies, protection coordination, cable design, transformer sizing.
    • Practical site experience with electrical installation contractors.
  • Project Exposure: Experience on large, multi-disciplinary Datacentre projects.
  • Consulting Insight: Exposure to consulting environments, either directly or via client/contractor roles.

  • Strong interest in industrial environments and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
  • Passion for energy efficiency and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Ability to work as a specialist, generalist, or a hybrid contributor.
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to lifelong learning.
