Role responsibilities

• Drive the development of strategies to use digital engineering, e.g to reduce the time and cost of delivery on projects (improve our efficiency in delivery), improve quality of deliverables and creation of standardised (digital) workflows.
• Ensure that our unit is actively driving the use of our latest digital solutions e.g. Revit, Bluebeam Studio, PowerBI, scripting the repetitive, generative designs, and BIM Interoperability.
• Deliver confident and quality digital value add to our Clients.
• Co-ordinate and drive the digital development of our team members in the unit to ensure that the team remains on the forefront of technical development.
• Partner with our Client’s relevant digital delivery/development team members to ensure we remain up to speed with and influence their digital offerings.
• Experience in modelling of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical gas and fire in Revit.
• Leading a team of younger modelers on delivering hospital projects. (guiding, and teaching of younger modellers)
• Developing and complying with BIM execution plans, providing support, maintenance and extension of existing Revit add-ins, and AutoCAD add ins

Minimum requirements

• Matric or equivalent (National Diploma would be beneficial)
• Minimum of 3 or more years’ healthcare draughting experience as a MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, FIre) Digital Modeller  (Senior Digital MEPF Modellers will be considered)
• Revit is essential, as well as advanced coding skills such as Dynamo, Sprinkcalc and Pyrevit (desired).
• Be familiar with delivering healthcare projects in the South African commercial built environment.  As such, you will proactively bring solutions that pushes our accuracy, quality and data richness beyond current industry norms.
• Be an innovator, able to capitalise on technology advancements.
• Have the ability to use initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise at a senior level.
• Have a passion for developing a team into digital delivery gurus
